Terms of Service

Welcome to TripCaddy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TripCaddy mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date. Notify us promptly at the email below if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Post or share content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Upload viruses, malicious code, or attempt to disrupt or compromise the App
- Access the App or its data using automated means, or attempt to reverse-engineer it
- Use the App for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations
4. User Content
The App lets you create and share content, including trip details, scores, photos, and group chat messages ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate and provide the App to you and your trip members.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights to share it. We do not endorse and are not responsible for User Content created by other users.
5. Content Moderation & Reporting
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. If you encounter content or a user that violates these Terms, please report it to us at golfhackers@gmail.com. You can also remove yourself from a trip to stop interacting with other members.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, remove, or restrict any User Content, and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice. We aim to act on credible reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
6. Scores, Handicaps & Disputes
TripCaddy is a tool for organizing trips and tracking scores among friends. Scores, statistics, and handicap figures shown in the App are for informational and recreational purposes only. They are not official handicap calculations and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any golf governing body.
TripCaddy is not responsible for disputes regarding scores, handicaps, side bets, skins payouts, wagers, tournament results, or prize distributions. Trip administrators and participants are solely responsible for verifying scores and determining results.
7. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data will be accurate or preserved.
Users are responsible for maintaining their own records of scores, standings, and trip information. TripCaddy does not guarantee the permanent availability or retention of any data.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TripCaddy and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or twenty Canadian dollars (CAD $20).
10. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, Apple and Google sign-in, and Apple Maps. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Effective date" above indicates when the Terms were last revised.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for any dispute arising from these Terms or the App.
